Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Mongolia Eco-Industrial Park Development. Ulaanbaatar is the political, financial, and industrial center of Mongolia. Much of the country's leather and wool processing is concentrated in Ulaanbaatar and is highly polluting. The industry is dominated by small and medium enterprises, which in aggregate contribute to 1.75% of the national GDP and employ 15,000 people (MOFALI, 2021). To address these twin issues of improving competitiveness of the leather and wool sectors and addressing urban industrial pollution, the GOM, specifically, Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Municipality of Ulaanbaatar (MUB) have requested World Bank Group support for establishing an industrial park away from the city and relocating tannery and wool processing firms from the tannery zone. MUB has prepared a pre-feasibility study for the Project covering market assessment, technical and financial analysis. In this context, IFC is seeking the services of a technical adviser that will assist IFC with all technical feasibility aspects of the Project, including due diligence, market assessment, economic and financial analysis, assessment of PPP options, masterplanning and providing inputs to transaction structuring. In the first stage, the technical consultant will conduct a feasibility study for the Project. The technical consultant will be provided with the pre-feasibility study.
