Description:
We kindly requests you to submit your proposal for the assignment IC/2023/029 - Protected area management expert .The "Ensuring Sustainability and Resilience (ENSURE) of Green Landscapes in Mongolia" project is implemented under the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET), co-implemented with theMinistry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry (MOFALI), and UNDP Mongolia CO over a 7-year period starting from 2019. The objective of ENSURE Project is to enhance ecosystem services in multiple landscapes of the Sayan and Khangai mountains and southern Gobi by reducing rangeland and forest degradation and conserving biodiversity through sustainable livelihoods. The contracted individual will support with technical assistance to implement and ensure the planned activities and interventions towards to expand and strength protected area (PA) system 1.09 million ha in the target aimags in important areas for biodiversity (especially from under-represented ecosystems) designed to enhance connectivity; and strengthen management effectiveness of PAs in demonstration landscapes through business plans and community participation under project objective/component 2.3.The duration of assignment is 120 working days (over 11 months) from May 2023The detailed information including Terms of Reference and other relevant documents can be found in the negotiation attachments.
